Great post thanks Kerry! I used to despise autumn and winter, but now I think they are probably my favourite seasons. I unpacked this jn more detail jn my post An Ode To The Seasons. I now see winter as a time to reflect and rest, but before I used to just found it SO depressing! The more I lean into rest, my feminine side and my introversion, the more I enjoy winter.

I think if winter was a person, she would be a beautiful grey haired, wise, elderly woman who has seen it all. She understands ancient secrets, laughs at life and knows that without the darkness there is no light xx

Can’t wait to read this post of yours! And I agree, I have always loved autumn for its cosyness yet winter seemed to shift something in me that turned to resentment. But I am so enjoying it this year!

Ok your winter person sounds wonderful and I want to meet her. “Laughs at life” I love this!

Oh I love this! I’ve learned to love the winter but I still have to work on that relationship, particularly on grey days or when it’s seemingly endless torrential rain. But if winter were a person... they would be comforting and mysterious, unpredictable and yet reassuring, they would invite me to sit down and pause and restore myself in front of a beautiful crackling fire... I think they would tell stories and sing soothing songs... and feed me nourishing hearty food... i think they have grandparent energy... wise old souls that have lots to teach us. Xx

Mmm I feel this so much, how gorgeous! I was feeling that elder energy too as I was reading. Thank you for sharing this 🤍

I still have lots to work on too, on those endless dreary days. The sun came out here yesterday and I felt like a different person, it’s incredible how much of an effect this season has on us!

Yes I live for those blue sky sunny days... the cold seems bearable on those days. X
