A little reality insight: my energy levels are pretty low right now (who’s aren’t!?) so whilst I did have the best intentions for our activities, most of them included me getting a bit snappy at the mess, exhausted from the extra cleaning up and not leaving enough space for me to tend to my own heart during this sensitive time whilst grieving my grandparents. BUT I’m reminding myself that what’s important is my intention behind it all and I am (trying) not to beat myself up because I know (I hope) my daughter had fun]
I so enjoyed our potion making! You are creating beautiful traditions for your daughter. She’s going to grow up not only emotionally aware and empathic (cos yes she absolutely is!) but also conscious and intentional. Well done mama ♥️
I love this time of year but I don’t love anything spooky too, so on actual Halloween my nerves go up a level! So I totally relate to your writings on this 💛
Usually I take a ‘day of the dead’ approach - to remember the loved ones/souls that have died and me and the kids gather photos of ancestors that have passed and we have them out for the day with candles. It’s also timely with the season of autumn and slowing and a good way of introducing the natural life death cycle to my kids along with honouring those who had lived and that their living directly affected us to be alive and knowing that we now are carrying the ancestral line.
I also swore a few too many times whilst pumping carving with the kids and whilst cleaning all the mess up afterwards 😆
Love this

Authenticity is key around here, so glad you liked this part! 🤍

Thank you my love, this means so much.
And thank you for being my potion dealer 😉
I’ll always bring the magic 😉✨

Mmm this is such a beautiful approach and one that I definitely leaned a bit more into this year than I have done in past years.
And, I’m sorry but are you even human if you don’t swear at least once whilst carving a pumpkin!? Haha
